Many couples have chosen to tie the knot or reaffirm their vows at Mount Hartman Bay Estate. There are numerous beautiful locations on the property to choose from for the ceremony and we can arrange everything down to the last detail. Whether it’s just the two of you having a very private wedding or a large wedding party, we can help. The best way to explain what we can do is to tell the story of one recent wedding that we organised with 100 guests.

To a background of pan music, the bride and groom were married on a red carpet under our flower entwined wedding arch at the edge of the ocean. The congregation sat in the shade, in breezy, open sided marquees, so it didn’t matter when the bride was a bit late! While canapés were being served and photographs taken, our staff quickly converted the marquees to a sit-down wedding breakfast, with beautiful, crisp white table linen, twinkling glassware and heavy cutlery. And later, one of the marquees was turned into a disco with dance floor, where the couple and their guests partied the night away.

Our staff looked after the couple all the way from sorting out the marriage licence and finding the right preacher to making the wedding cake. And the couple spent their wedding night on a petal strewn bed in our Romantic Suite at the top of the Folly. Accessed by a glass staircase, with a Juliette balcony overlooking the infinity pool and ocean views on all four sides, what better way to start married life?

 



The couple’s verdict on their wedding day, “Only one word: Perfect.”

What do you need to get married in Grenada?


Firstly you will need a licence to get married in Grenada. To get that, you both need to be over 18 years old and you will both need to be resident in Grenada for at least three working days prior to the planned date of the marriage. Our staff will accompany you to the different places necessary to get the licence.

You will need to have the following available:

  • Valid Passports
  • Birth Certificates
  • If either of the parties is divorced, proof of a Decree Absolute
  • An affidavit, or a letter from a clergyman, lawyer, or Registry on official letterhead confirming that the parties involved are of single status
  • If a name has been changed by Deed Poll, proof is necessary
  • If either party has been widowed, a Death Certificate is needed
  • If either party is under 21, an affidavit evidencing parental consent is required
  • All papers must be in English. If the original papers are in another language, they should be translated into English and certified
  • No blood tests are required


Mount Hartman Bay Estate Wedding Celebration Package, including the following:

  • Marriage Licence
  • Registrar or Minister and fee
  • Flower decorated wedding arch
  • Posey of flowers for the bride
  • Buttonhole for the groom
  • Photo cd with at least 36 pictures
  • Wedding Cake for two and a bottle of Champagne
  • Certified Copy of Wedding Certificate

Fee: US$880.00 or complimentary if you both stay for fourteen nights all inclusive.
Not available during the Christmas/New Year holidays.

Extras: A video or DVD is available at extra cost if required.
